River Grove Extra Virgin Olive Oil is available for purchase online or you are welcome to visit us and purchase from the olive room. Please note that we are unable to accept payment by credit card or eftpos if you do visit but, on the other hand, we are happy to let you have a taste and decide which oil you would like and to show you around the grove. Most of our oil for sale has been certified by Olives New Zealand, using a vigorous testing process, as extra virgin and carries the Olivemark sticker.

Once you have our oils in your kitchen, please store as cool and dark as possible. Our oils are perfect for use in dressings or drizzling over salads or pasta dishes or risotto. Try a swirl on your soup. Partner (in a 5:2 ratio) with lemon juice or balsamic vinegar – especially good over hot, roasted baby beetroot. Or dip crusty bread into our oil and your favourite dukkha. And try Steven’s favourite – drizzle our oil over vanilla ice cream!

Try this lovely summer salad – a regular in our house:
Overlap sliced ripe tomatoes and avocado around a dish. Tear fresh mozzarella over the top and drizzle with an olive oil and lemon juice dressing. Top with fresh ground black pepper and torn basil. I often add finely chopped red capsicum or crumbled, crispy cooked bacon or pancetta. Delicious!
